The CHESTER TOWNSHIP PARK area offers
a Gazebo, a Baseball Field, two Volleyball Courts, Horseshoe Pits, a
Pavilion, a Children's Playground,
and
Rest Room facilities. They are available on a first come first served
basis. To reserve them, an application for approval must be completed.
The Park is lighted for evening use. The light switches for the areas
are located as follows:
Baseball Field-Pole at Rest Rooms
Volleyball Courts-Pole at each Court
Horseshoe Pits-Pole at each Pit
The last group using the Park facilities at night is responsible for
turning off the lights. A $25.00 fine may be imposed when the lights
are left on.
A sound system for use at the bandstand and a score booth at the baseball
field is available for use. Keys to gain access to these are available
at the Chester Police Station. Please note keys required on your application
when submitting approval.

Disorderly conduct
and disturbing or annoying others in the Park is prohibited.
Before leaving the Park make sure that all of your litter is placed in
the receptacles provided throughout the Park. No alcoholic beverages or
glass bottles are allowed in the park. The Rules & Regulations must be
observed without exception.
APPLICATIONS FOR USE
Applications to reserve
any of the park facilities can be obtained at the Chester Town Hall at
12701 Chillicothe Road or online. Completed applications should be
returned to the Chester Town Hall. Applications are approved at the
regular park board monthly meetings held the first Monday of each month.
A check covering amount of deposit must be attached to the application
when submitted. Make your check payable to the CHESTER TOWNSHIP PARK
DISTRICT. Your approved application will be mailed to you or if specified
on the application will be available for pickup at the Chester Township
Hall. Your deposit check will be cashed. If a refund is applicable,
a Park District check in the amount to be refunded will be mailed after
the date the Park is used.
Any use of keys approved on the application & obtained from the
Chester Police Station must be returned there immediately after use of
the Park.
RESIDENT DEFINITION
Residents are defined as a person or family residing in the West Geauga
School District.
COMMISSIONERS
Three Commissioners are appointed for a term of three years.
