Clay Lawrence - Board of Trustees

Clay has lived in Chester Township since April 1st, 1971.  He has been involved in such community groups as West Geauga Boosters (president two years), the Chamber of Commerce (Vice Chairman), West Geauga Community Joint Recreation District (founding member), West Geaga Kiwanis, and various county level and school associated committees.  He was the County Commissioner's representative to NOACA.  He was a Township Trustee for 1988 through 1992.  He ran for and was elected to Township Trustee again in 2007.  He has been involved in community activities most of the time he has lived in Chester.

Clay retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company (AT&T) in 1989.  He and his wife Conni own Summer Wind Stables, Tack and Gift Shop on Chillicothe Road.

Conni and Clay have eight children all of whom have gone through the West Geauga School system.  Presently their son, Bill is a school teacher and soccer coach at WG High School.
