The development of the Steering Committee is to develop a 'Master Plan' for Chester Township intended to guide both the short term and longer term development of our community.  Things to consider include providing for Seniors' housing, doing a comprehensive redevelopment of the central business area of Chesterland that would include harmonious architectural styling and landscaping, expanding the Parkside Park facilities, creating new or improved municipal facilities, and establishing a Seniors/Community center. The planning process will emphasize community participation.

Internal Audit Committee

The Internal Audit Committee (IAC) was appointed by the Board of Trustees in 2004. Since November of 2004, the IAC has been reviewing the Township financial records, policies, and procedures relative to the Townships funds and the appropriate Departments.

The IAC is also involved with The Auditor of State's Office to insure that the recommendations from past Biannual Audits are implemented in Chester Township.

The IAC meetings are held at the Chester Town Hall and are publicized.  The IAC welcomes citizens to attend their meetings.
